If your bank is part of a group of banks, you may need to coordinate responsibilities for specific entities in an audit request. Brevio makes this simple by allowing you to delegate responsibility for individual companies within a request.

Benefits of delegating in Brevio:

  • Clear responsibility tracking

  • Efficient coordination across banks

  • Transparent communication with the auditor

  • Reduced need for external communication

How to delegate

To delegate responsibility for a company:

  1. Click the “…Options” button.

  2. Select “Delegate company to other bank”.

You will then be prompted to select the company (or companies) and the bank(s) you wish to delegate to.

Note: It is not possible to delegate all responsibility. If the entire request should be handled by another bank, use the “Transfer request” feature instead.

Once delegated, the request will appear in the “Delegated to” section. This delegation will also be reflected in the client list when reviewing signatures, and in the detail section of the request.

What Happens Next

The receiving bank will be notified via email that they’ve been assigned one or more clients. They will handle the delegated sub-request as they would any standard request.

Finalization States

Once a delegated request is answered, it may have one of the following statuses:

  • Rejected
The receiving bank has rejected the delegation. You will see an error state and must revoke the delegation (via the three-dot menu) and assign it to another bank. A comment explaining the rejection will be included.

  • Ready for Dispatch
The delegation is completed successfully and ready for finalization. It may include:

    • Audit letters attached

    • A message stating that the audit letter has been sent via post or email

Finalizing the Process

Once all parts of the request are complete, you can proceed with finalizing and sending the consolidated response to the auditor.
